There's plenty of collegiate teams to catch as well. Don't miss the San Diego Aztecs, football team, as well as a fabulous Aztecs female basketball team.

Del Mar Racetrack is just a quick 20 minutes from downtown.

Some of San Diego's "don't miss" attractions include Sea World, the historic Gaslamp Quarter, the world famous San Diego Zoo and the Wild Animal Park, The Reuben H. Fleet Space Center and Museum of Man in Balboa Park, and the Palomar Observatory--and that's just to name a few.

Location, Location, Location:

San Diego is situated on the beautiful Pacific Ocean, approximately 100 miles south of Los Angeles. Our southern boarder is shared with Mexico. The boarder towns of Tijuana and Tecate offer a totally different culteral, culinary and shopping experience that's just minutes away. Ensenada, a duty-free port, with its own special charms, is located just 70 miles south of the boarder via a modern toll road.

The distinguised pallet is as likely to be satisfied in San Diego as any serious metropolitian area. You name it, you can find it at our plethora of restaurants. The emphasis however, is California Cusine and a dazzling array of delicious fresh seafood.

In addition to a fine public and private primary and secondary system, San Diego is home to some of the finest institutions for higher learning in the country, including San Diego State University; University of California; San Diego; University of San Diego; United States International University, Scripps Research Institute, and a dozen more community and private institutions showcase our commitment to quality education.

Population & Housing:

San Diego County is expected to increase in population by 49% by the year 2015, to 3.76 million residents. This equates to an average of 49,000 new residents annually since 1990. To accommodate our population growth, we will have an additional 422,000 housing units by 2015. Based on current trends, household size in 2015 will be approximately 2.75 persons*.
